„As a researcher from Monash University, I was honored to be selected as a Young Leaders Academy (YLA) fellow within the EUTOPIA alliance—an experience that has opened up a range of meaningful academic and professional opportunities. Through this role, I’ve engaged in stimulating conversations with inspiring academics across Europe and delivered guest lectures to law students in Portugal and France, where I shared insights on the Australian constitutional framework.
My visits to EUTOPIA universities in France, Portugal, Slovenia, and Romania have been invaluable in shaping new perspectives and academic connections. I’m now preparing to continue this journey in Brussels, where I look forward to further dialogue and collaboration with colleagues working at the intersection of law, governance, and technology.
These experiences have reinforced my interest in the EU’s globally recognized leadership in regulating automated decision-making, data protection, and social media platforms—critical areas as digital technologies continue to evolve. I’m eager to further develop research in these domains, foster lasting collaborations with European scholars, and pursue comparative legal work grounded in EU law and its diverse jurisdictions.
Although my involvement in EUTOPIA has been deeply enriching, I want to clarify that my travel and research are supported through separate funding, independent of the EUTOPIA Alliance.”
