🎓 Representatives of Babeș-Bolyai University participated last week in EUTOPIA Week, an event hosted by the University of Warwick. It was an intensive program that included strategic meetings, training sessions, networking events, and high-level academic debates.
🎉 The event held special significance for the hosts, as EUTOPIA Week coincided with the 60th anniversary of the university’s founding. The chosen theme – “Creating Global Connections” – was the guiding thread throughout the week, reflected in the dialogues held with representatives of partner universities.
💡 The opening speech delivered by José Manuel Barroso, former President of the European Commission, and moderated by Jan Palmowski (The Guild), offered a powerful moment of reflection on the role of universities in promoting fundamental values and strengthening global relations.
💻 Thematic panels on Artificial Intelligence brought together experts and field leaders – including active EUTOPIA alliance members – and served as key moments to discuss the implications of AI for higher education and research.
💎 From a strategic development perspective, this edition offered a vital opportunity to evaluate the alliance’s progress and outline future directions.
🤝 The second edition of #ResearchDays, under the theme “Regulatable AI”, provided an excellent platform for scientific collaboration, bringing together over 30 researchers from partner institutions.
💭 The sessions dedicated to EUTOPIA initiatives – Connected Communities, Certificate of Internationalisation, Innovation Challenges, and Ideas Club – served both as retrospectives highlighting achieved results and as opportunities to explore ways to strengthen future projects.
