Mobility Programme for Young Researchers
The EUTOPIA_HEALTH Cross-University Mobility Programme for Young Researchers offers research stays of 1–5 months at partner universities within the EUTOPIA_HEALTH consortium, addressing transdisciplinary health-related challenges under the guidance of experienced researchers.
Who can apply
PhD students and early-career researchers at UBB, within eight years of obtaining their PhD, working in health-related fields. These include medical technologies, diagnostics, therapies, public health, health economics, life sciences and clinical psychology.
Applicants must identify a host supervisor at a university within the consortium. Both the applicant and the host supervisor must be registered on the EUTOPIA_HEALTH Research Map.
Funding and duration
- Accommodation and living expenses: €2,500/month.
- Travel: up to €500 per mobility.
- Duration: 1-5 months.
- 9 mobility months remain available at UBB out of the 25 allocated.
- Mobility periods may be undertaken until 31 May 2028.
Application process
Applicants from UBB must submit the following documents to health.eutopia@ubbcluj.ro:
- Application form (maximum 4 pages, completed jointly with the host institution) – Annex 1
- Letter of acceptance from the host institution
- Letter of support from the home institution

Third call timeline
- Launch: 13 October 2026.
- Applications accepted on a rolling basis: 13 October 2026 – 31 July 2027.
- Evaluation: by the end of the month following submission.
- Application deadline: 31 July 2027, or earlier if funds are exhausted.

“This mobility experience had a strong impact on both my research and my outlook on my future career.
