UBB Hosts Training of Trainers on Co-creation Methods within the EUTOPIA MORE Project

On 28-29 October, 2026, Babeș–Bolyai University hosted in Cluj-Napoca the two-day Training of Trainers entitled ‘Co-creation Methods – Facilitating Collaborative Processes’. The training is part of the activities implemented under Work Package 2 of the EUTOPIA MORE project, funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ Programme.

The training of trainers addressed employees of EUTOPIA member universities who work with internal or external stakeholders, including those interested in training others to become co-creator facilitators. The 12 trainees acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills helping them to design, facilitate, and deliver training on co-creation processes in higher education institutions. Led by Gabriella Tonk and Júlia Adorjáni, the participants explored co-creation as a collaborative and power-sensitive process grounded in ethical principles. The trainees familiarised themselves with key concepts, terminology, and procedural steps, while examining the ethical considerations and power dynamics that shape meaningful stakeholder engagement.

The training directly contributed to strengthening institutional collaboration across the EUTOPIA alliance, by bringing together representatives of the host institution (UBB) and participants from Technische Universität Dresden (Germany), Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia (Italy), Univerza v Ljubljani (Slovenia), CY Cergy Paris Université (France), Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Spain), and Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium). It will further contribute to the implementation of the Global Strategy (Deliverable 2.1) supporting the involvement of a broad array of stakeholders in a participatory manner. It is expected to lead to effective and efficient collaborative processes not only at Alliance level, but also within member institutions and between these and external quadruple helix stakeholders.

The training toolkit will be part of Deliverable 2.3 of the EUTOPIA MORE project and will be publicly available on the EUTOPIA webpage.
