In July 2026, students from Babeș-Bolyai University participated in two international initiatives organised within the EUTOPIA European University Alliance: a summer school held in Barcelona and the virtual edition of EUTOPIA Innovation Challenges for Students, coordinated by the University of Warwick. The European Commission has selected the EUTOPIA European University Alliance, of which Babeș-Bolyai University has been an active member since 2021, for a new phase of funding under the Erasmus+ programme. EUTOPIA is one of 20 selected European university alliances and will receive up to €7.2 million in funding over the next two years. This support will contribute to strengthening cooperation among the partner universities and to the continued development of the European Universities model. The EUTOPIA Alliance has launched the EUTOPIA Digitalization Incubator – Call for Project Proposals, as part of the EUTOPIA MORE project.
