On 14–15 October 2026, representatives of Babeș-Bolyai University took part in an exchange visit to the EUTOPIA Central Office in Brussels, focusing on institutional cooperation, student engagement and opportunities for collaboration in education. The programme included meetings with the Central Office team to discuss its structure and operations, its relations with partner universities, and the connection between the Alliance’s activities and day-to-day work at UBB. From 22 to 24 September 2026, a delegation from Babeș-Bolyai University (UBB) undertook a three-day visit to NOVA University Lisbon to strengthen institutional ties and explore opportunities for collaboration within the EUTOPIA Alliance. From 21 to 25 September 2026, a delegation from Babeș-Bolyai University visited the University of Ljubljana, a partner within the EUTOPIA Alliance. The visit aimed to exchange experiences and good practices in international cooperation, research, and academic and administrative activities. Meetings with representatives of the host university focused on managing national and international projects, implementing the Erasmus+ programme, supporting research and innovation, and advancing university internationalisation. From 14 to 18 September 2026, representatives of Babeș-Bolyai University participated in EUTOPIA Impact School, a training programme focused on developing research communication skills. Over five days, participants explored ways to present scientific findings clearly and accessibly, tailoring their messages to different audiences. The programme combined practical workshops, individual preparation sessions and group activities. Topics included storytelling, writing press releases, developing a short pitch, interview techniques and speaking on camera. In July 2026, students from Babeș-Bolyai University participated in two international initiatives organised within the EUTOPIA European University Alliance: a summer school held in Barcelona and the virtual edition of EUTOPIA Innovation Challenges for Students, coordinated by the University of Warwick. The two experiences offered participants the opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills, collaborate with students from other European universities, and discover new ways to engage with the EUTOPIA community. The European Commission has selected the EUTOPIA European University Alliance, of which Babeș-Bolyai University has been an active member since 2021, for a new phase of funding under the Erasmus+ programme. EUTOPIA is one of 20 selected European university alliances and will receive up to €7.2 million in funding over the next two years. This support will contribute to strengthening cooperation among the partner universities and to the continued development of the European Universities model.
