The European Commission has selected the EUTOPIA European University Alliance, of which Babeș-Bolyai University has been an active member since 2021, for a new phase of funding under the Erasmus+ programme.
EUTOPIA is one of 20 selected European university alliances and will receive up to €7.2 million in funding over the next two years. This support will contribute to strengthening cooperation among the partner universities and to the continued development of the European Universities model.
The Alliance is now entering its third and most advanced phase, with the aim of developing a fully operational, student-centred European meta-university focused on research, innovation and international cooperation.
EUTOPIA brings together ten European universities and six global academic partners. Its activities are guided by five core values: excellence, inclusion, sustainability, cooperation and academic freedom.
Babeș-Bolyai University will continue to actively contribute to strengthening mobility, research, innovation and European academic cooperation.
